‘I’m Just A Carer’ by Cambrette Care
I help with the things you might find hard to do yourself.
I’ll help you with your personal care - clean your teeth, wash your feet- simple acts that mean so much more than they seem. These are moments of dignity, moments where trust is built.
I’m just a carer.
I prepare your meals, feed you if needed, and tidy up afterwards.
I’m just a carer.
I keep your room clean and safe, removing trip hazards and making sure surfaces are spotless. Your space should be a place of comfort and calm.
I’m just a carer.
I help you manage your medication - making sure you take the right doses, ordering refills on time, and arranging reviews with your healthcare team.
I’m just a carer.
But I do more than tasks. I comfort you when you’re anxious, support you when you’re down. I listen when you want to talk and hold your hand when you need strength.
I speak to doctors, nurses, and therapists on your behalf. I keep your family informed and reassured, so you’re never alone in this journey.
I’m just a carer.
I’m here for you - in your home, your care home, or even in hospital. Sometimes, people don’t see the care behind the scenes. The early mornings, the late nights, the small moments that make all the difference.
But I know what I do matters. It’s about protecting your dignity, respecting your choices, and offering kindness when it matters most.
I am a Cambette Carer.
At Cambrette Care, Director Beth Gicquel often hears from carers how they feel unnoticed or undervalued despite the vital role they play supporting our community. She says:
’Time and again, carers tell me they don’t realise how much they mean to their clients and families. They don’t see the difference they make every single day. To me, they are the heart of Cambrette - true heroes whose worth cannot be measured.’
