At Orchid Group, we’ve always believed that the best care is built on connection - between carer and client, between families and professionals, and between the services we provide and the lives they touch. That belief is what led us to launch Orchid Connect - a new, technology-enabled care service that complements our hands-on, person-centred support. We haven’t changed what matters most: we still put people at the heart of everything we do. But we’ve added something powerful to the mix - a way to spot problems earlier, support families better, and help people live independently for longer.

Orchid Connect uses discreet in-home sensors and wearable technology to help us understand what’s happening in real time - without intruding on privacy. We can notice small changes before they become big issues: a kettle not boiling at the usual time, a door left unopened, or disrupted sleep patterns. All of this feeds into a secure app that gives our care teams - and loved ones - peace of mind and a clearer picture of someone’s wellbeing. This isn’t care from a distance - it’s care with depth. It means we can make visits more meaningful. It means families can stay informed, even when they’re far away. It means we’re not just reacting - we’re staying one step ahead.

This project is proudly rooted in Jersey. With support from the Impact Jersey CareTech Challenge, we’re rolling out Orchid Connect as an affordable monthly subscription, designed to work in every home. Whether someone needs a bit of extra monitoring or more complex support, we can customise the service to suit their needs and preferences.

We’re not doing this alone. Orchid Connect was built in collaboration with families, health professionals, and other carers - because we believe the future of care lies in partnership. By working together, we can build a more joined-up system that supports everyone involved: the person receiving care, the people who love them, and the people delivering care on the ground. At its heart, Orchid Connect is about giving people the freedom to live well, with fewer interruptions and more dignity.
